Guide to Survival...

While I'm in self-imposed exile..some things I plan to do in RL and when I return to SL in the future..

1.  Throw  out nonessential numbers.  This  includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors  worry about them. That is why you pay 'them.'  

2. Keep  only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3.  Keep  learning. Learn  more about the computer, crafts, gardening,  whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle  mind is the devil's workshop.'  And  the devil's  name is Alzheimer's.  

4.  Enjoy  the simple things.  

5.  Laugh often,  long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for  breath.

6.  The  tears happen. Endure,  grieve, and move on.. The only person, who is  with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE  while you are alive.

7.  Surround  yourself with what you  love ,  whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music,  plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your  refuge.

8.  Cherish  your health: If it is  good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve  it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get  help.

9. Don't  take guilt trips. Take a  trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a  foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.  

10.Tell  the people you love that you love  them,  at every opportunity.

1. I bite my lip when I'm nervous.

2. I currently carry six lip glosses..and a palette of 3 lip glosses in my purse. Every day.

3. My underwear, right now, says Birthday Girl. Not my birthday today. Wasn't my birthday when I bought it.

4. I really love food. Not just dessert.

5. My hair is colored. Colored my natural color.

It's Time..

So lately I've been a lot of things. Selfish mostly. And discontent.

And I realized..that I've become a person I wouldn't really want to be friends with.

I log in. Blissie hangs around..I answer only IMs really. I don't participate in open chat anymore. I profile perv. Redo my own profile 100 times.

I dunno.

I think I need to follow the lead of my friend Joonie and take a break. Come back with my head together.

Cuz I'm a hot mess.

Not that anyone would know..I speak so little these days to most people.

I'll be back eventually. :)

Being a Kid Again....

So today, I played hookey from work.

I picked up my dad, my sister and her two kids..and we decided to spend the day together. Later in the day, I had to take my dad to the doctor for his appointments - so we figured we had the whole day to do something, have lunch and then go to the doctor's.

So we drove around and did the little errands with him.

And then decided.

Let's go to Coney Island.

I haven't been to Coney Island in YEARS.

And we were off!

Bought kiddie ride tickets..I rode the Tilt A Whirl three times with my 8 year old nephew and the Dizzy Dragons and he took his 15 month old sister onto the fire truck and the choo choo train.

And as we were getting ready to leave, I realized that we couldn't leave without going on the roller coaster. But.

My nephew wasn't tall enough.

My sister refused to ride.

And of course, my neice is too small.

As we walked by, my dad turned back.

He bought two tickets.

And......15 minutes later, we were getting off of a ride I never thought my 69 year old dad would ever get on. Not at this age and right now.

But it was AMAZING.

Just the whole day.

We had lunch, dropped off my sis and kids..and then I drove my dad to the docs.

He got new meds, and the old ones are hitting the garbage - hopefully he'll start feeling better now. :)

So! I had a great day. Riding kiddie rides..and big kid rides...and eating pretzels..and just having fun.

Being a kid is so underappreciated. You spend all of your time wishing you were older.

:) Sucks to be grown up - but every now and then you can have a blast as an adult being a kid. Holding your dad's hand as you walk down the same boardwalk you ran down as a kid.

Yeah....those are the best days - when the past and the present can meet. :)

Eat Your Heart Out Jacques!

So last night was a fun SL night.

First, we went to a live performance at Blue Dahlia - hey, anytime you're in the company of the lovely Mikki, it's gonna be a great time.

Then we wandered off to the Red, White and Blue sale at the Mischief Isle sim (hello..bought lindens TWICE). :)

So we went to Greenie's.....which is like a GIGANTIC house. We sat on green eggs and ham, the stove, the freezer...a giant cat tried to eat me...

It was wild. Let me tell you.

THEN!

Moo took us on a boat ride which was awesome. Bev and I wore out sexy bikinis and worked as his sailing crew (okay, Bev worked, I laid on the side and tanned).

THEN.

We decided we needed a hot air balloon ride.

Until we fell out.

Well, just two of us fell out.

So as Bev and I stood at the bottom of the ocean.....we decided..

Why the heck not? I rezzed a chair...she rezzed a table. Then a rug. Then came artwork...

Then a house was rezzed.

Then food..

Then a grill...

Then picture frames...

Then garbage...

616 prims later.. :)

But it was just relaxing hanging out with Moo, Bev and Clynt for the evening. Exploring our inventory wackiness. Who owns a bacon bikini? And why do I own three vibrators? So we ate and chatted and just all around had a great evening.

What People Think.....

I didn't realize, but most people always assume I'm always hanging out with someone.

Truth is..when I'm not with Moo or Bev, I'm usually alone. Either taking pictures or shopping.

So, don't assume. :) IM me if you wanna hang - I'll always make time when I can. I'm not the busy socialite you think I am. I'm just an afk wench! :)
